Planning exterior work in Wooster
The city designates Landmarks and Landmark Districts, including the Public Square Landmark District. Exterior alterations there need a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Design and Review Board, and painting is exempt only when it doesn’t change exterior colors. A same-color repaint can go ahead; a color change in a Landmark District needs approval first.
