Elyria is the county seat of Lorain County, about 23 road miles from our base in Brunswick. We paint commercial, institutional and multi-family buildings here, starting with a walkthrough at your building and a written scope and price.
Elyria’s commercial buildings
- Lorain County Community College’s Elyria campus is on North Abbe Road, and University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center serves the city.
- The city reports that 11 of Lorain County’s top 25 employers are located in Elyria.
- The West Avenue Historic District is a local preservation district administered by the Elyria Landmarks Commission.
Planning exterior work in Elyria
Elyria’s design review covers alterations that change a building’s exterior appearance — including color changes — on buildings other than small residential properties. Ordinary maintenance that keeps the same color is exempt. If a repaint changes the colors of a commercial or larger multi-family building, design review comes first.
