Cleveland is the Cuyahoga County seat, about 27 road miles from our base in Brunswick. We paint commercial, institutional and multi-family buildings across the city, starting with a walkthrough at your building and a written scope and price.
Cleveland’s commercial buildings
- Cleveland has more than 300 locally designated landmarks and 29 local historic districts, including the Warehouse, Playhouse Square, East 4th Street, Mall and Prospect Avenue districts.
- Downtown had about 21,000 residents in 2025, with 888 housing units added that year, 86% rental occupancy and 80.2% overall office occupancy, according to Downtown Cleveland’s State of Downtown report.
- University Circle, east of downtown, is one of the densest concentrations of cultural, educational, religious and social-service institutions in the world and includes Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals; at least 30,000 people worked there as of 2020.
Planning exterior work in Cleveland
Cleveland runs two review systems for building exteriors: the Landmarks Commission for designated landmarks and historic districts, and City Planning Commission design review in designated Design Review Districts. If your building falls under either, check with the city before changing exterior colors so any review is built into the schedule.
